Overview

Homework
Homework is currently being given out on paper - there will be a variety of literacy and maths work given each week.
The work will be sent out each Friday and is to be completed the following Wednesday at the very latest.
As well as this weekly work, there is work that should be completed daily:
- Learning any spellings
- TTRockstars
- Reading a school library book
If your child experiences any difficulties with the work set please come and see me and we will review it together.
Troubleshooting for common website problems can be found on the Homework Website problems page shown at the top - if there are any other problems, please conatct us via ClassDojo.
Reading Books
This year children must take their reading book home every day and read every evening at home. They should then bring their book into school every day so they can continue to read in class.

Class Dojo
Class Dojo is one of the ways I communicate with parents, with messages or posts about what has been happening in class. Dojo points is also one of several reward systems we use. Please make sure you are signed up so you can keep an eye on what is going on.
We may also use the following websites this year!

P.E. & Games
Kit – Blue/black shorts (no cycling shorts) and a plain white t-shirt and trainers or black pumps for games. For outdoor PE they can also bring blue/black jogging bottoms when the weather is cold; they will use their school jumper or cardigan if necessary - they do not need an extra hoodie or tracksuit top. Indoor PE will be done in bare feet unless you provide the school with a doctors note.
PE will now be on a Monday and a Wednesday for this half term, so children should bring their PE kit in on those days. They must not come to school dressed in their PE kit but bring it in a suitable draw-string bag ready to use.
Please note:
Football tops are not suitable as they can often cause disruption between children.
Jewellery should not be worn in school for safety reasons. (Studs for pierced ears are acceptable.)
Toys should not be brought into school as they often cause disruption & arguments in class.
All children should wear school uniform clearly labelled. School shoes should be worn, not trainers.
If phones are brought into school (because children walk home independently), they must be handed in at the beginning of the day and will be returned at the end of school. They must not be used on school premises.
Water bottles are available from the school office (£1). It is important that the children drink plenty of water during the day to keep them hydrated. Please ensure that bottles are taken home each weekend to give them a good clean and eliminate germs.
If you need any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Many thanks
Mr Brouard
